Response from Google to ChatGPT
Google has announced that it will make its experimental AI service available to a wider audience in the coming weeks. Google seems to follow a similar approach as ChatGPT with Bard.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the soft launch of Bard to a set of “trusted testers” and showed what this early experimental version looks like with some examples.
This screenshot shows how Google Search uses AI to respond to long search queries with a long answer created by AI.
Bard is separate from Google Search.
The screenshot highlights AI-powered features that will be introduced in Google Search “soon.”

“Soon you’ll see AI-powered features in search that present complex information and multiple perspectives in easily digestible formats so you can quickly understand the big picture and learn more from the web: whether you’re looking for additional perspectives on a topic or want to explore a similar topic in more depth.”

What is Google Bard?
Google explains that Bard is an experimental conversational AI service based on LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications).
LaMDA was announced two years ago at the 2021 Google I/O keynote as Google’s next generation of voice and conversational capabilities. Now it is used to create these answers for users.
Bard is powered by a lightweight model version of LaMDA that requires “significantly less processing power,” Google said. Google said this will allow it to scale to more users while allowing for more feedback.
